The 2018-2019 ski season is off to a great start with the inauguration of our latest jewel: the brand-new Ski Express, a modern 10-seater gondola that will replace the obsolete Breiteben and Sergerwiese lifts on Mt. Gitschberg.
With a capacity of 3,000 passengers per hour, the new gondola lets you climb comfortably from 1,706 to 2,216 metres of altitude in just under 6 minutes. The dedicated intermediate terminal allows skiers and snowboarders to hit all their favourite runs, including the Breiteben piste – a big favourite among beginners.
Work is also in progress on the Wastl Huber, a new 2-km long piste that connects to the Sergerwiese piste.
Also coming up this season, the new Gimmy Fun Ride on Mt. Jochtal will be adding some thrill to your winter break with 1.5 km of family-friendly kickers, boxers and more – the perfect choice for a day out in the snow with the kids. The start is located directly by the exit of the Hinterberg mountain terminal.
Ski Express, Wastl Huber and Gimmy Fun Ride will all be inaugurated in time to kick off the 2018/2019 winter season.
